Cockermouth roadworks

There are two road closures in Cockermouth:

First road closure is on Gote Brow which is closed until Wednesday 18th March 2026, then after the road opens on the Wednesday 18th March there will be traffic lights on Gote Road for two weeks.

Second road closure is on Lorton street, this road will be shut for 2 weeks from 16th March 2026.

There are three way traffic lights at the bottom of Kirkgate which is causing congestion onto Castlegate.

Please allow extra time for your journey.
